Fulbright Day: Angola – September 10

Many Fulbrighters do volunteer work to give back to their community and share what they learned with local people. That’s what the Angola Fulbright Alumni Association (AEFA) did on September 10 in the community of Corimba (Luanda) by gathering more than 25 young Angolans in a hybrid event to emphasize the importance of inclusive education and to help them take their first steps towards a bright future. The program included an information session on how they can access U.S. State Department scholarships and exchanges, as well as tools to learn English. The activity ended with a door-to-door donation of basic food items to the neediest families in the community.
