Fulbright Alum Awarded 2022 Nobel Laureate in Physics

Fulbright Alum Anton Zeilinger was a named a joint recipient of the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics. In 1976–77, Anton Zeilinger studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a Fulbright Student from Austria. He taught at the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) and MIT before becoming president of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW).

Maria Ressa

Maria Ressa, a Filipino-American author, Fulbrighter, longtime CNN investigative journalist, and co-founder of the digital media company Rappler, received a 2021 Nobel Peace Prize for her work to support a free press.
