To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Fulbright Program, U.S. Embassy Dhaka and Bangladeshi Fulbright alumni hosted a special two-day virtual conference titled “Celebrating 75 Years of Fulbright: U.S.-Bangladesh Together Towards Tomorrow” on October 27-28, 2021.
In two online events, in cooperation with colleagues from neighboring countries, the Czech Fulbright Commission introduced the stories of ETA alumni and cooperative work of a group of Czech and U.S. alumni in the field of arts.
On November 4, Fulbright Denmark’s Anniversary Symposium took place at Carlsberg Academy, Copenhagen. The symposium was titled “From Soft Diplomacy to Science Diplomacy.”
On November 12, 2021, the United States Educational Foundation in India celebrated the 75th anniversary of the Fulbright Program with the opening of the art exhibit “Reciprocation – American Fulbright Artists and India/Collaborations & Connections.” The exhibit opened on November 12, 2021 and continued until December 8, 2021.
Journalist Maria Ressa, a 1986 Fulbrighter to the Philippines, was one of two people awarded the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize for her work against disinformation and for fighting for press freedom.

On October 8, Fulbright Hungary commemorated the 75th anniversary of the Fulbright Program and the 30th anniversary of the Hungary Fulbright Association with an event titled, “A Community Based on Shared Values,” held at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
During their international exchanges, Fulbrighters come face-to-face with difficult and seemingly intractable problems. In response to these problems, Fulbrighters make use of their newfound academic training, cultural knowledge, and entrepreneurial skills to create innovative solutions that better the world around them.
Hilda Ochoa-Brillembourg knows about returns on investment, having served as the chief investment officer for the World Bank for 12 years and as the founder and chairwoman of Strategic Investment Group.
