The New Jersey Chapter of the Fulbright Association invites everyone to join Fulbright alumna Tina Lesher who will highlight Fulbright alumna Tina Lesher will highlight some of these fascinating individuals as she presents a light-hearted webinar focusing on a historical/anecdotal look at notable women who worked at newspapers, magazines and other media from the early days of the country until modern times.
Dr. Lesher, a former newspaperwoman and professor emerita of journalism at William Paterson University of New Jersey, was a 2006-07 Fulbright Scholar to the United Arab Emirates, where she interviewed women about the changes in their lives as the country became one of the wealthiest in the world. She is the author of The Abaya Chronicles, a novel about Emirati women and their families, that was named the top book of fiction in 2011 by the National Federation of Press Women
